City life can be hectic, but there are pockets of serenity across Hong Kong's countryside that offer a great weekend getaway. On a sunny morning, our student horticulturists went for a visit to Green Garden which is a local farm in Fanling.
With the guidance of the local farmers, students acquired some basic farming techniques which can then be applied to farming practices on campus. They also re-examined how local organic farming can help make Hong Kong a more inhabitable and sustainable city.
