Coordinated by the Hong Kong Scotland School Improvement Partnership, our school partnered with Knox Academy in Haddington, Scotland this year. The Vice Principal, a teacher and six S.2 & S.3 students set off for Scotland for an exchange with Knox Academy on 2 November 2019. Students had an opportunity to stay in host families for five days to have a taste of authentic experience in a Scottish family. Students were warmly welcomed by host families and they established great relationships with the host students who are studying in Knox Academy. They accompanied our students to school and shadowed them during school activities. It was a valuable and rewarding opportunity for TTCA students. On the second last day, we attended the 8th Scotland China Education Network (SCEN) Youth Summit which was held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. During the Youth Summit, all Hong Kong students had to go up to the stage to share their learning experiences from this trip with the audience which included both Hong Kong and Scottish teachers and students. Apart from the precious learning and cultural experience, our students built close friendships with the students in Knox Academy. They had lots of fun together in Haddington and will certainly keep in touch with the newly-made friends. In short, it was an incredible exchange trip worth organizing again.
